Su intencion primordial es, as ´ ´ı, constituirse como un recurso indispensable en la comprension tanto del materialismo filos ´ ofico como de la teor ´ ´ıa de la ciencia que de este se deriva. ´ PALABRAS CLAVE: ciencia ⋅ materialismo gnoseologico ´ ⋅ teor´ıa del cierre categorial ⋅ materialismo filosofico. ´ ABSTRACT: In this paper we develop a controversial discussion about the phases of the history of science as treated through the philosophical lenses. Taking Gustavo Bueno’s Gnoseological Materialism as our starting point, we also display the structure and scope of the Theory of Categorical Closure understood as the overcoming of the previous theories of science. Our main purpose is then to provide an invaluable resource for both the comprehension of Bueno’s Philosophical Materialism and the theory of science that derives from it.
